Figure out Harry Potter’s scar. If you aren’t familiar with Harry Potter, select another character with a physical imperfection and analyze its implications for characterization.
The scar on Harry Potter's forehead represents his father and mother's sacrifice to protect him. Due to Lily dying for her son, she gave Harry the most powerful protective charm she could, her love. As part of a very ancient ritual, before her death, Harry's mother decreed that should Voldemort ever try to attempt to curse Harry, each curse would come back to him. Now, Lord Voldemort's soul latches onto Harry Potter thus creating the scar. The lightning shaped scar is the symbol of what separates Harry from the other magicians, sort of a mark of destiny for a brighter future and a symbol of hope to all.
